McDonald's Nasi Lemak Burger

After all this time since McD Singapore came out Nasi Lemak Burger and even some of the burger shop in M'sia came out their own Nasi Lemak Burger!Now they finally launch Nasi Lemak Burger in M'sia! Well, McD M'sia doesn't like to follow the trend i guess.

You know what, that is kinda expensive for a set tho. Since i saw the put back the pulut hitam pie so I'm gonna say goodbye to fries and carbonated drink.

Here it comes the Nasi Lemak Burger!!!

Just like nasi lemak which it has cucumber, fried egg, onion, and Sambal, except no coconut fragrance rice. 

Surprisingly, the sambal goes well with the burger. Very authentic nasi lemak taste, the spice in the chicken is pretty matched with the sambal in which sweet and tiny little spicy. Somehow the sambal tastes so similar. It was like, ate somewhere else before. My guessing maybe is the same as those nasi lemak sambal sell in 7-11 or the mamak's 1? Not so sure. In their website, it described the chicken as "coconut flavor chicken thigh". I guess, they must be soaked in the coconut milk for marinating. That is why it matches with the sambal. There is one thing I don't understand. Why must the chicken coat with corn flake but not breadcrumbs? The flavor? 

The overall is good but i think they lose some 'main' side dishes there. They don't have fried ikan bilis (anchovy) and peanut. That is the important side dish to a Nasi Lemak!  The main but not main soul to this dish! Aw man, missing those two ingredients is definitely enhancing the burger to a higher level.

Through this few months, I realize that McD is repeating the product they launch before. Well, it is not that bad actually. At least, they put back pulut hitam pie back. Among the pies, this is one of my favorite. The pie is flaky, the filling is slightly sweet and a little chewy from the pulut hitam. NICE!
