No Oven Chocolate Chip Cookie [Cooking Alone]

There are two reasons i make this recipe, first, my brother had bought a souvenir from Vietnam - the famous Vietnamese Coffee set. So in order to try it out, i want to make something sweet to match it with the bitterness from the coffee. Second, I know Valentine's day is around the corner, every girl is been busing prepare chocolate for her boyfriend. Well, I'm not. You know why. So, I have come out with a recipe that is simple to prepare with. Even a single person can prepare and eat it he/herself and that is one person serving chocolate chip cookie in a pan, no oven required.

Recipe:

2 tbsp melted salted butter (if using unsalted, add a pinch of salt)
1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar (depend on how sweet you want)
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/8tsp baking powder
1/8tsp baking soda
2-3 tbsp chocolate chips (roughly estimate)

Steps:

1. Mix sugar and melted butter. Mix the sugar while the butter is still hot/warm.

2. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix until all combined.

3. Add in chocolate chip and mix.

4. Place the dough to a pan.

5. Turn on low heat and cook it 3 min per side. Gently flip it over as it is very fragile/crumble when it is still hot.
6. Let it cool down slightly then take it out.
7. Decorate it and eat it while it's warm or cold.

It is a very simple and fast recipe to make one. If you are a very lazy person, just melt the butter in the pan, then mix everything in it. If you have a small skillet pan, just do what I said before, and once it's done the cooking, serve it along the skillet pan. Decorate with some melted chocolate or a scoop of ice-cream to make it fancy. And here it is, no extra dishes to wash and have a great Valentine's day with your partner or yourself.

You can do it in a microwave but the chocolate burns easily. If you want to use microwave just check it every 30/40sec.

There is one thing to be careful with is when you flip the cookie. The cookie broke easily and thus, when flipping it, the best way is to gently pour into a dish then flip the dish back to the pan. And, don't poke it too much! If too much hassle, just cook it for only one side. the other side you can decorate with anything you want and serve. Maybe this suits more the raw cookie eater?
I find that 3min per side is the best consistent. Slightly crisp the edge and soft in the middle. Of course, you can adjust it by the cooking time. The shorter the cook time the softer the cookie.

If you want to serve it to another person, just go nuts with your decoration. Let them feel your hard works and the feeling you put into it.

Even though I'm single but I still bless you to have a wonderful Valentine's Day! And I MEAN it!

P.S: you can try it without baking soda and powder(if you don't have). I haven't tried before so if you get to try it, tell me the result.
